One of the reasons I am so excited to move to South Carolina is for amazing fresh seafood! During the summer I LOVE grilled shrimp and one of my favorite ways to prepare it is in a spicy marinade! David threw together this marinade the other night and it was amazing! The smoky spice really provide a lot of flavor but they weren't too spicy for our Sam to eat!
Ingredients:
- 1 TBS paprika (use 1/2 smoked paprika if you can)
- 1 large clove garlic, minced
- juice from 1/2 lemon
- bring the heat with cayanne or red pepper (we used 1/2 TBS red pepper)
- 2 TBS olive oil
- 1-2 lbs raw peeled shrimp
Directions:
- mix together all the marinade ingredients
- mix in shrimp and marinate 1-4 hrs
- grill high and fast for some tasty char
